Here at Joe Cook & Associates, we believe that no person should ever be hungry, especially during the holidays. Still, every day there are families in need of food security. In fact, 1 in 6 residents in Galveston County is food insecure. Our agency wants to do everything we can to eliminate this problem from our community, which is why we are proud to support the Galveston County Food Bank during this holiday season.
When a local family is going through a financial crisis or other obstacles, food is often the first necessity they seek. The Galveston County Food Bank’s mission is to provide easy access to nutritional food for the economically disadvantaged, underserved populations of Galveston County through a network of participating charitable organizations, schools, and food bank-managed programs focused on serving vulnerable populations. They also provide these individuals and families with resources beyond food, connecting them to other agencies and services that can assist with needs such as child care, job placement, family therapy, healthcare, and other resources that can help get them back on their feet and on the path to recovery and/or self-sufficiency.
Because this mission is so important to us, we’re now advocating and directing monetary rewards to the Galveston County Food Bank and their noble cause.
